The natural world has always been a source of inspiration for Julieanne. She is interested in the evolution of stories, myths and legends into scientific knowledge as we come to understand the world around us more. With this knowledge comes the message of the harm we are inflicted on our environment and our need to change our ways.

The techniques used in her work include wire sculpture, basketry, weaving and stitch.
